Weather Situation
A high over southeastern Australia will maintain a ridge over the state for
several days. The high will move into the Tasman Sea by Saturday and then move
east over the following few days. A trough will move east across southern and
central Queensland on Tuesday, crossing the east coast on Wednesday. A new
ridge will extend over the state in the wake of the trough, as a new high moves
east across southern Australia.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 20 June
Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower along the coastal fringe, most likely
this evening. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Winds south to southeasterly
15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the late afternoon then becoming south to
southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late evening. Daytime maximum temperatures
in the low 20s.

Mostly sunny in the northwest, isolated to scattered showers elsewhere. Showers
in central and southern Queensland contracting east of Longreach on Wednesday
and to the east coast on Thursday. Morning frost in the southern and central
interior on Thursday. Maximum temperatures above average inland in southern and
central Queensland on Tuesday, near average otherwise.
